Viberg are known for making some of the best shoes in the business this side of a bespoke shoemaker. So when they do a casual boot, it’s going to be casual but the materials and quality will come from a class or three above.
Taking inspiration from classic Italian hiking boots, the Pachena Bay 6” boot uses Viberg’s 240 Last, and features a single-piece leather upper by C.F. Stead Ridge, a natural split welt with Goodyear construction, channeled insole, gusseted tongue, padded collar and gun metal hardware. The boot is also made with 200 gms of 3M’s Thinsulate, a thin layer of material that helps trap body heat, while allowing moisture to escape.
The sole is what really sets this boot apart from others in Viberg’s Pachena Bay range and although the go-to for most casual boots of this nature (particularly moc-toe boots) would be Vibram’s Christy sole, Viberg have opted for Vibram’s Morflex sole.
