This bespoke Rolls-Royce Wraith is inspired by everything

Captain Picard, your car is waiting. This is a Bespoke Rolls-Royce Wraith commissioned through Rolls-Royce Abu Dhabi that is quite unique. We’re not used to seeing airbrushed artwork on vehicles anymore, that trend died quite some time ago, yet here we are in 2020 with one of the world’s most expensive vehicles coming in for a bit of a spray paint.

The brief to Rolls-Royce designers was to create a ‘Wraith – Inspired By Earth’ and the took inspiration from literally the entire solar system. That’s a lot of inspiration. What it resulted in is hand painted artwork that took 100 hours to complete featuring a satellite’s-eye view of the Middle Eastern region with the focus on the United Arab Emirates, Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and the Gulf of Oman. Finishing the painted theme is pin-striping including the Sun and the eight planets of the Solar System.

The rest of the bodywork is painted in Royal Blue, said to represent the body of water covering the Earth’s surface.

Inside it’s all about the surface of the Earth. The seats in Moccasin leather represent the sands of the Emirates’ deserts which feature Navy and Cobalto Blue accents representing rivers and lakes while Emerald Green piping is a nod to nature in general. The Arctic White ‘RR’ monograms and stitching are meant to symbolise clouds.

There are clouds rendered on the “rear waterfall” as if photographed from space, while up front on the Piano Milori veneer fascia is a satellite image of the Middle East that is actually air-brushed.

And what Rolls-Royce Wraith wouldn’t be complete without a Starlight Headliner. And this being an Earth, sorry, solar system theme you know there’s going to be something special and so it showcases all the planets of Solar System, centred on the Sun.

Other Rolls-Royce Bespoke features include treadplates, a clock with metal radial background, and inlays showing the planets finished in silver, with the Earth highlighted in gold.

Why would your theme be for a Bespoke Rolls-Royce Wraith?
