This barn find 350 mile 1976 Datsun 280Z still smells new

It seems impossible to think there are still classic cars being unearthed to this day yet here we are again. This time it’s a 1976 Datsun 280Z in the USA with only 350 miles on the clock. Is there any 280Z in the world with less miles? Maybe at Nissan HQ in Japan.

Car detailer Larry Kosilla from AMMO was contacted to help bring the car back to life and he documented the story and process beautifully on his YouTube channel (which you absolutely need to subscribe to).

The car was bought new in 1976 and after spotting some dints in the front bumper, the owner demanded a new one from the dealer. While he was waiting, he set about pulling bits of the interior off to make some improvements, most notably an upgraded stereo.

Unfortunately financial difficulties meant the car had to be sidelined as life priorities took over and the car was left with just 350 miles.

How it got into the hands of the current owner is another story altogether and told well enough on the AMMO channel.

The end result is brilliant as the photos show but the journey there is great viewing.
