Lomography.com has started a Kickstarter campaign to deliver a new lens to celebrate 180 years of portrait photography.
The lens in question is the Petzval 80.5 mm f/1.9 MKII Art Lens compatible with Canon EF, Nikon F (d)SLRs producing some serious bokeh. Also available is an Advanced Bokeh Control Edition in black anodized aluminum, featuring a Bokeh Control ring.

The Petzval lens produces a swirly bokeh effect when shot wide open, and when using smaller apertures produces extreme sharpness.

The helicoid focusing mechanism and stopless aperture diaphragm allows focusing and f-stop changes while the camera is rolling.
The Petzval 80.5 mm f/1.9 MKII Art Lens will be available in three finishes: brass satin, black painted brass, and black anodized aluminum.
