It seems as though there are more supercars and hypercars announced at any given time than regular old hatchbacks. The latest is the Lamborghini SC20, a one-off car commissioned by a client who was very active in the project from the beginning.

Pitched as an open top track car capable of being driven on the road the car was designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile to be extreme and unique while incorporating many of the design cues of racing Lamborghinis. The best shot is from the rear where it kind of looks like some nutcase CanAm racer from the 70s.

Featuring a hand polished carbon fibre monocoque and body the car is typical of Lamborghini styling with jagged edges and lines, and at the back there’s an adjustable rear wing. The air intakes on the bonnet are similar to that of the Huracán GT3 EVO while the sides take inspiration from the Essenza SCV12.

Even the colour is custom: Bianco Fu (white) with Blu Cepheus (blue) accents which can also be found in the interior. And inside carbon fibre dominates on the dashboard cover, rear wall, door panels, centre console, steering wheel trim, and seat shells.

Performance won’t be laking with Lamborghini’s screaming V12 in place. Let’s see if it actually turns up for a track day, and if it does, we should all applaud! Check out the gallery for all the pics.
