Taylor Stitch do things a little differently to most other fashion brands, particularly when it comes to designing new products. Their latest crowd funded piece is a classic 4-oz. cowhide leather jacket finished in cognac and made in Turkey.
The classic style cut is no accident as the inspiration comes from yet another of lead designer Nick Kemp’s second hand clothing store finds.
Cotton twill lining in the body with wide wale corduroy detailing on under collar, inside pocket flaps and inside cuffs gives the jacket a weighty mid-heavy feel. That 3” collar also has stay snaps.
There are details throughout the jacket which don’t distract from the classic design such as dark horn natural corozo buttons, backed with white natural corozo buttons, and cellar door-style side-entry pockets.
The Cuyama Jacket jacket is currently available before shipping for $798 USD ($1098 AUD) as a pre-sale item, down from the proposed $998 USD ($1373 AUD) retail price.
