And they will be the timepiece sponsor for the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One Team. If there was ever a time (no pun intended!) to partner with Aston Martin, now is it as they are on the up, signing four time world champion Sebastien Vettel and restructuring their organisation with the backing of billionaire team owner Lawrence Stroll.

While Aston Martin was founded in 1913, Girard-Perregaux can trace its roots back to 1791 and eventually becoming the brand it is known as today thanks to the marriage of Constant Girard and Marie Perregaux in 1854.
The brand made a name for itself with their Tourbillon ‘With Three Gold Bridges’ in 1867 deliberately showcasing the mechanics of three functional components usually hidden from view.
How they retain each of their identities in the forthcoming watches will be interesting to see with the first edition revealed later in 2021.
