The Tour Auto Optic 2000 rally in France starts Monday 29th April and driving accessory brand Christophe Fenwick have collaborated with the tour creator and organiser Peter Auto to create two special items just to commemorate the event.
Christophe Fenwick has been making gloves since 2014 using high quality materials and construction techniques so it’s only fitting that the brand is releasing Tour Auto gloves with Tour de France Automobile colour code and the Tour Auto embossed logo.
The hand crafted gloves are made from lambskin with double perforation both inside and out, fork’s internal stitch, wrist closure strap and black snap button engraved with a phœnix, the logo of the house. There are also gloves for ladies, the Tour Auto Lady so you can fight over who gets to drive.
Shoes have been a relatively recent venture for Christophe Fenwick and the Tour Auto limited editions have also been designed in collaboration with Peter Auto and also features the Tour de France Automobile colour code and the Tour Auto embossed logo.
The mid-high driving shoes are made by a manufacturer who supplies shoes for Formula 1 drivers so the knowhow in construction is there. Vintage full-grain calfskin, laced, with quilted leather interior they are finished with a tricolour stripe. Allez Les Bleus!
If only there were more of the Tour Auto style rallies in the Southern Hemisphere. Until then, watch this promo video and be prepared to be very jealous!
