2019 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is here

It’s Pebble Beach time. Pack your best loafers, don that jacket, and join the mega wealthy for one of, if not the premiere car show in the United States.

Held at Monterey California, the main event being the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance where the rarest of rare cars compete for outright honours. While in the past perfection through restoration was seen as the first class ticket to the winners’ circle, in more recent times other criteria have taken precedence such as style and technical merit, history, originality and the accuracy of their preservation or restoration.

It’s not all classics with the latest concept cars making appearances, a few surprises, and plenty more.

Here’s the rundown of all the events:

Cars on grass can oftentimes be somewhat underwhelming, with cars removed from their natural habitat. Seeing and hearing (how quaint!) the cars in action is what car shows need to balance the volume of those arriving by trailer for the Concours. Here’s the schedule:

7:00 am Cars line up on Portola Road in Pebble Beach
9:00 am Tour departs
11:30 am Tour arrives in Carmel-by-the-Sea
12 noon Cars are displayed on Ocean Avenue
2:00 pm Tour returns to Pebble Beach
3:00 pm Concluding Champagne toast for participants

We all love to talk cars, so hearing from those who are equally as passionate, subject matter experts, or simply entertaining is worth your time.

Of particular interest is the following talk. In a time when automotive interests are bombarded by hyper-sensationalism and political gain this is more relevant than ever.

Revs Institute Presents: Protecting the Family Legacy and Preserving Automotive Enthusiasm During the Coming Revolution
